Negotiation for Leaders

All of us are leaders; you may be leading others, your personal life or your business.

We need to learn the art of negotiation to get what we want in life and negotiation is a two-way street where we aim for a win-win outcome for everyone.

In this episode of the Business Chat Podcast, I chat with Gary Edwards, who wears many hats including a keynote speaker, coach, and a three-time president of the Professional Speakers Australia (South Australia Chapter).

He speaks about the six steps to effective negotiation. This incorporates the balance between results and relationships. Gary discusses the six core skills every leader should be good at if they want to be a good negotiator.

Leaders need to be true to themselves and determine whether they can negotiate or not. This guides them on the right path of thinking about the best outcome for all parties involved.
